Gratitude for the Long-Term Dedication of the I-Kuan Tao Foundation – Mayor Hou Yu-ih Presents Plaque Inscribed “Tao Supports the World”

[New Taipei City News]

New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih visited the I-Kuan Tao Temple in Zhonghe District this morning (13th) to pay respects and offer blessings to the Supreme God of I-Kuan Tao. During the visit, he presented a plaque inscribed with “Tao Supports the World” (道援天下) to the Fa-Yi Chong-De Religious Development Foundation, a registered foundation under the New Taipei City I-Kuan Tao. The plaque expresses gratitude for the foundation’s long-standing dedication in bringing warmth and positive energy to society.

Mayor Hou stated that under the leadership of the tireless Bodhisattva, Predecessor Chen Hong-Zhen, Fa-Yi Chong-De has promoted character education, filial piety, and classic reading in communities—creating a virtuous cycle and positive social influence. The plaque “Tao Supports the World” acknowledges their contribution to advancing ethics and morality and expresses thanks for the foundation’s ongoing care for those in need.

He further explained that the inscription reflects the spirit of loyalty and righteousness—core values for conduct and life. Over the past decades, the Fa-Yi Chong-De Religious Development Foundation has lovingly cared for the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the public, and is truly deserving of this honor.

According to the Department of Civil Affairs, Predecessor Chen Hong-Zhen, also known as “Elder Sister Chen,” devoted her life to following the teachings of the late Holy Master Bai Shui. Starting from the Chong-Xiu Hall in Douliu, the temple has expanded globally. The foundation follows the principle of “giving back to society what it has received,” actively engaging in education, culture, community service, and charity. It has received numerous recognitions as an outstanding religious organization in New Taipei City and is widely praised by the public.
